As an oil based painter I fill my days with colour pattern and texture, working fluidly
between abstraction and realism.  Often the two will merge forming a subsequent relationship.

From my studio I am able to explore materials such as gold leaf, pearlescent pigments and beeswax all of which result in richly layered compositions of colour and pattern.

I have recently been inspired by succulent plant structures and their architectural form.
Seen through the lense of the camera, they are reinterpreted and become gigantic forms on canvas, which are then interspersed with geometric works. These act as a place of rest for the viewer, whilst also creating a sense of rhythm to the group.
