Peepshow Inc.

Peepshow Inc. combines visual and physical theatre with puppetry to create unique image-based theatre. Peepshow Inc. identifies a core group of artists on each project, but also seeks to involve and benefit from new collaborators and to engage with the community they are a part of.

Peepshow Inc. aims to make ‘theatre which blurs the line between imagination and magic, puppets and possibility’. Under the artistic direction of founding artist, Melinda Hetzel, Peepshow Inc’s work is unique; it puts bodies and puppets in the same space and invites audiences into enchanting - and often confrontingly intimate - theatrical worlds.
 
Based at the Abbotsford Convent in Melbourne, Peepshow Inc. is a small-to-medium scale company which has been operating as a not-for-profit incorporated association since 2003.  Working at a range of scales – from the company’s miniature theatre, the 'Puppet Peepshow', to its larger scale ‘Puppet Opera’ and site-specific work, 'The Mysteries of the Convent' – Peepshow Inc. has a distinctive theatrical voice and a growing reputation for daring and immersive theatre experiences.
