Punctum
Established in August 2004, Punctum is a live arts organisation. The core group is made up of 10 practising arts professionals with national and international profiles.
Punctum has an Artistic Director, currently its founder Jude Anderson. Punctum also manages an “arts incubator” – a place where artists working with contemporary forms can research, practise, and build works.
Punctum (pronounced pounctoum) rejoices in punctuating the cultural landscape.
In-Habit is a pilot project that brings together Punctum and the Abbotsford Convent, and informs their pending membership as the only Australasian representative of l’Association de Centres Culturels de Rencontre (Centres for Cultural Exchange).
It is a season of eleven live art and performance events. In-Habit investigates connections between people and place with a focus on cultural exchange.
Events of this unique season will take place within the Convent and across the City of Yarra between 3rd February and 28th February 2010 and include installation, durational performance, live art, dance, public forum, an intimate two participant experience, soundscape, vocal performance, tours and a shop.
Key In-Habit artists are: Jude Anderson, Chi Vu, Carl Pannuzzo, Jason Maling, Katerina Kokkinos-Kennedy, Mandy Nicholson, Ernesto Rios, berni m janssen, Emilie Collyer, Cedric Peyronnet. There are over twenty other artists involved in the project.
In-Habit is directed by Punctum Artistic Director Jude Anderson.
