Who’s at the Convent?

Browse through this website and you’ll discover all that this unique project represents, including the work of artists, artisans, writers, wellbeing practitioners and more. Then there are the small to not-quite-as-small creative and cultural organisations and practitioners. Plus, there are gallery spaces, a bakery, several restaurants, two bars, a community radio station, beautiful hertitage gardens and lots of inspirational spaces.

The Convent is a thriving cultural hub of artists, practitioners and creative organisations. There are several studios that are open each week throughout the year where you are welcome to drop in, meet the artists and view them at work. In addition there are various scheduled open days, festivals and public events that celebrate the diversity of the Convent community. Please be aware that it may be necessary to make an appointment to gain access to some studios and we encourage you to browse individual practitioner's details listed within the portals here.
