Festivals and Events

The Abbotsford Convent plays host to a number of regular annual festivals and special events that offer music, food, literature and performance. Only at the Convent do hip hop crews nestle up beside operatic performance and crime fiction sit astride slow food.

The Reader’s Feast Writers at the Convent literary festival takes over the Convent on 12, 13 &14 February 2010 and the Reader’s Feast Crime & Justice literary festival pops up on 17 & 18 July 2010. The all-ages music event, Push Over, is held in Rosina and Sacred Heart on 7 March 2010, warming the seats for an Opera Festival later in 2009 and a community favourite, Carols at The Convent, just in time for Christmas.
