The Abbotsford Convent Foundation
Abbotsford Convent from afarAfter a 7 year community campaign to save the site from inappropriate redevelopment, this historic site was entrusted to the Abbotsford Convent Foundation in 2004. Today, the Foundation works toward the realisation of the communities vision to develop a unique Arts, Culture and Education precinct.
The Abbotsford Convent Foundation is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee. The Abbotsford Convent Board administers the Abbotsford Convent Foundation.
The Foundation has tax-exempt status and is the trustee of the Abbotsford Convent Foundation Arts Trust which is a deductable gift recipient listed on the Register of Cultural Organisations. The Trust also has tax exempt status.
The success of the project so far lies in the support which comes from all sectors of our society, community, businesses, philanthropists and government.
